CGAPS relies on studies and work conducted by partners and other institutions, some of which are available for download. Please refer to the original citation (not necessarily the CGAPS website) when using or referring to these reports.
- Executive Summary for Restricted Plant Rules and List: CGAPS and partners worked to create a process for identifying new invasive plants (not yet present in Hawaii) that could be the basis of a proposed list of plants that should be restricted for importation in Hawaii because they high risk for becoming invasive. CGAPS petition the Board of Agriculture to enter into rulemaking, and the BOA voted to send the petition, draft rule language, and draft list to the Subcommittee on Plants.
- CGAPS VIDA Legal Analysis (updated 2016): CGAPS and partners have been watching the Vessel Incidental Discharge Act (VIDA) for several years in its various forms. In 2016 it was amended into H.R. 4909, the National Defense Authorization Act.
- 2016 Hawaii In-Water Vessel Cleaning Report Final Report: With funding from the Hau`oli Mau Loa Foundation, CGAPS contracted the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center to conduct a risk/needs assessment on vessel biofouling and in-water vessel hull cleaning, in partnership with the DLNR Division of Aquatic Resources.
- 2016 Motion on International Biofouling; IUCN WCC: CGAPS and the University of Hawaii William S. Richardson School of Law ELP have partnered on a Motion for the IUCN 2016 World Conservation Congress to address biofouling.

- 2002 Hawaii Ant Policy Adopted: This paper provides federal changes to the quarantine action policy for ants intercepted from commodities destined to Hawaii.
- 2002 The Economics of Invasive Species TNC Hawaii: This paper provides economic evidence to illustrate the risk that invasives pose to Hawaii’s economy. Three different invasive species are considered: the brown tree snake, the red imported fire ant, and Miconia.
- 2002 Kahului Airport Pest Risk Assessment: HDOA Plant Quarantine conducted 7, 3-4 week inspection blitzes between September 2000 and July 2001, on the movement of alien species from the continental U.S. and foreign areas to the island of Maui through Kahului Airport.
- 2001 Risk to Hawaii from Snakes: Kraus and Cravalho assessed the risk to Hawaii’s native species and human quality of life posed by alien snake species.
